Employer of the Year at Chamber Business Awards 2019

Another proud victory for Tharsus Group, as we claim the National Title of Employer of the Year at the Chamber Business Awards 2019.
Recognising and rewarding excellence in British business, the Chamber Business Awards is one of the UK’s most contested and prestigious business award programmes. Following a rigorous judging process from hundreds of entries from Chambers across the UK, Tharsus Group won top honours for Employer of the Year 2019.
The awards went through a series of regional heats, with the companies in the North East Chamber accounting for five of the regional finalists for all the categories – the North East talent was indeed well-represented. North East companies won two of the National awards: Blyth based Tharsus Group and Durham based Beamish Museum (winners of Customer Commitment Award). Both winners are members of North East England Chamber of Commerce.

John Hannah, robotics lead at Tharsus Ltd, accepted the award on behalf of Tharsus Group. He said:
“It is tremendous honour to win the Employer of the Year Award. This achievement is another important milestone on a much longer journey for our company to become a really significant regional and national employer.
It is testament to all our team’s work in building such a strong, innovative culture that promotes personal development. The award also illustrates how we always do the right thing for our customers, our products which we develop and manufacture and our people.”
