Tharsus Group – Universal Wolf and Tharsus – had been shortlisted for Larger Business of the Year, so our representatives were thrilled to collect our award after we were named the winner. Little did they realise they would be on stage a second time to collect the top award of the night – Business of the Year 2022!
Drawn from the category winners, Business of the Year recognizes a stand-out submission. Making the winning announcement, Darush Dodds, Corporate Affairs Director of sponsor Esh Group, called out our colleagues saying:
“What really stood out with Tharsus Group is their ability to onboard people and develop them, giving them a career with lots of potential – the true meaning of Social Mobility. Privately-owned and proud of its Northumberland roots, this is a North-East business truly representative of what this region and its people are capable of. They’re flying the flag for this region on a world stage.”
Attributing this double success to our colleagues, Brian Palmer praised the “dedication, hard work and spirit which make our achievements and this recognition possible” adding “these are their awards!”
Tharsus Group will join other winners from across the UK for the British Chambers of Commerce Annual Awards in October, where one will be chosen as the national winner.
Our thanks go to the awards organisers and our congratulations to all those who were shortlisted and won. An exceptional group of truly great businesses.
