DIN 2303 certification upgraded to the highest level

19 November 2025

In October 2025, we announced that we had been awarded DIN 2303 Q2/BK2 certification. Since then, we have been re-audited and are delighted to confirm that our certification level has been upgraded to BK1.

What’s the difference between DIN 2303 BK2 and BK1 levels?

The BK level refers to the criticality of components that we are authorised to weld. The category is based on our approved process controls and demonstrated capabilities.

BK2 applies to components:

  • subjected to normal static or dynamic loads
  • with medium safety significance
  • and/or medium operational importance.

BK1 represents the highest classification within the standard. It authorises the manufacture of components with the greatest criticality:

  • those exposed to high static or dynamic loads
  • components with high safety significance
  • parts which are critical to operational reliability

What does this mean for our customers?

Any DIN 2303 certification is a significant achievement, as it shows the fabricator has:

  • a capable, skilled and well-trained team
  • robust systems to track and manage goods through our processes
  • full material traceability

The upgraded certification to BK1 demonstrates significant, precise and repeatable ability to deliver exceptional quality metalwork, for the most critical of applications.
